Stephen Hemmert Wines was founded by Stephen Hemmert and his partner and fiancee, Nicole St. Julian, in 2014. The company is based in Lancaster, California and focuses on producing small batches of unique and rare varietal wines from various sources in California. Stephen has been making wine for home consumption since 1997, and his early efforts earned him silver medals in national and international competitions. In 2010, he produced his first wine from estate-grown Zinfandel grapes. They established their own winery and tasting Room in 2018. Stephen and Nicole believe that wine is a social beverage meant to be shared with friends, and they host wine events regularly.
